Finding beauty in your day is something so simple to do and so powerful in reducing stress and frustration, often we forget to stop and do just that. It is like we have become “Human Doings: instead of “Human Beings”. Sometimes what we most need in our day we just need to STOP and “BE”. Be present, notice beauty. Breathe.
Seeing the beauty in the moment can help relax you. Is it the smell of that first cup of coffee? The way a storm moves over the hillside? The look of sunrise or s... Continue reading ...
I believe that women are fabulous, strong, amazing, loving, bold, and brilliant. Sometimes though I hear women calling each other names, talking horribly about other women behind their back, and the insults fly. We have such incredible power – and when used positively, it grows stronger in its power. We as women need to stick together and support one another.
When we chose to use it negatively against other women, we as women loose. We women need to stick together - men do - even when i... Continue reading ...
Last night I had the honor of coordinating a “Glow Premier” event in the SF Bay area, over 150 women (and a few men) attended this amazing night. We had the chance to listen to three women featured in the movie: Barbara Rubin, Marilyn Tam, and Sandra Yancey.

Change your words, change your feelings, and change your power. J-O-B stand for Just Over Broke. Even if right now, it is not the dream career, how... Continue reading ...

Next time you are feeling overwhelmed with all you have to do, try saying this: “Having too much work to do is a good thing. It means that people value what I have to offer!” I truly believe that people value what I have to offer and that is why they ask me and count on me! I’d get wo... Continue reading ...
Years ago I worked as a youth counselor to teenage girls that were homeless, drug addicted, gang affiliated and often pregnant and/or parenting. These girls had such tremendous abuse in their home lives that they often thought life on the street was safer. As a youth counselor, I would work one-on-one with teens. I remember one teen even spit in my face! So tough, so rewarding, but often they move on and you have no idea whether you made a difference or if their lives are better.
This is tru... Continue reading ...
