Amazing Stories of Women and their Inner Warrior!

Meet a true warrior: June

When I met June 6 months ago she described herself as a “mouse” that needed a safe place to meet people and market her business. What I have seen blossom is a beautiful, funny sweet woman! Here is June’s story from your own words. Thanks June for being an inspiration! Ann

I spent 10 years working as an admin feeling like a mouse that no one noticed.  After taking time off to spend with my kids, I decided I wanted to go back to work but I wanted a flexible schedule and a job that I would actually enjoy.  I love talking to people so I felt direct sales was a good choice.

Earlier this year I decided to sell jewelry and purses.  Both products are fun and fashionable but affordable for everyone from the stay at home mom to the working women.  I noticed that I took more time to put my outfits together and more effort into my overall appearance.  For the first time, I didn’t feel like that little mouse in the office.  I don’t run errands in sweatpants anymore.  I now take the time to fix my hair, match my clothes to my jewelry and pick out a great handbag to finish the outfit.

Over the summer I decided to join eWomenNetwork to help my business grow.  This was probably the best thing I could have done.  I have learned ways to market my products, how to approach other businesswomen as well as potential customers and has helped give me the confidence to believe in myself.

For the first time in my life I traveled by myself to my jewelry convention.  I approached top sales people and introduced myself.  I called the owner of my purse company and told her I wanted to more than just another consultant, I want to be part of the company and help it grow.

My businesses have given me wonderful opportunities.  I can have fundraisers and donate my profits to the charities that are close to my heart like Cancer Research and Autism.  I found ways to incorporate my creativity into marketing my products.  I have finally found a job that I love and still lets me be mom to my kids.
